Mr. Psolka did not conduct himself in a professional manner right from the beginning of the repair. Upon review of my supplement he immediately proceeded to tell me "we don't owe for that", and argued with me as to why I was performing such labor operations. Mr. Psolka wanted our shop to perform a clear blend on the windshield pillar. This is not an approved repair by ANY major paint manufacturer and he was furnished with those clear coat warranty documents. He presented no 3rd party research to substantiate his claim of it "not being a standard procedure". Mr. Psolka's personal opinion of how a vehicle should be repaired is invalid. We perform the repair to OEM standards and our Paint manufacturer warranty guidelines in order to provide the consumer with a pre-accident condition and warranted repair. Mr. Psolka is either very incompetent on how a vehicle should be repaired properly or was being blatantly ignorant. His actions proved he was in direct violation of Title 63, Ch.22B, in more ways then one. His supervisor Paul Gutherman was also of no help, when we spoke to him he claimed to side with whatever Mr. Psolka wants. We request the commissioner contact the consumer personally so she can state how she felt, as he did not conduct himself in a manner to inspire public confidence. We also request the commissioner contact 610 MOTORS and we can also provide you with a copy of the supplement and packet of documentation that was handed to Mr. Psolka at our facility. We have submitted complaints in the past to the commissioner that seemed to be disregarded without any investigation by the commissioner as if the Insurance companies hold some type of clout. We hope that is not the case any longer. These appraisers must be held accountable for their incompetent/ignorant actions and reprimanded by the commissioner.
