Complaint Comments:
Ms. Gardner was involved in an accident on New Year Eve, she instantly made contact with Geico about her vehicle being hit while parked in a restaurant's lot. Geico set up an appointment for her to go to one of Geico's approved shops on Saturday January 9th 2010. Ms. Gardner is a single parent and self employed with a busy scheduled. The next day she called and cancelled Geico's appointment and made arrangements with that Gieco's representative and both agreed and scheduled a date for her damaged vehicle to be appraised at our shop sooner. The claim was assigned to the field appraiser in our area and again the date was confirmed. On Wednesday 6th Ms. Gardner brought her damaged vehicle to our facility and pick up the pre-approved rental vehicle from Kulp Car Rental not Geico's network rental company . The assigned appraiser notified us that she would miss the scheduled appointment they set up for Ms. Gardner and if possibly she will try to make it in that Friday or Monday of next week. On Thursday an employee from Geico (named Yolinda) called Ms. Gardner and insisted with intimidations that Ms. Gardner must return the rental vehicle back because her vehicle was drivable and the assigned Geico appraiser would not be able to see the damaged vehicle until next week, and if she did not do so than she would be charged for those days until her vehicle would be seen by Geico. This action was brought to the attention of Geico's management and Charlene Nolan the assigned appraiser for this claim assisted and corrected this situation on her on.
