Complaint Comments:
Ms.Fineman is a repeat customer and chooses Bryner to perform her repairs. Ms.Fineman is the claimant in this claim and was told by State Farm that the repairs need to be done by a "State Farm Approved shop" and they tried to scare her by claiming the repair will take longer and she would be responsible for the costs to repair the vehicle if she used Bryner Collision to repair the car. The date of loss was 7/22/2011 and it arrived at Bryner on 7/23/2011. State Farm did not send an estimator until 8/4/2011. Craig Charles signed into our shop on 8/4/2011 and did not leave a locked estimate of repairs. Mr. Charles instead wrote a preliminary estimate and a prior damage estimate against the claim for $1,069.86 stating the damage to the left quarter panel was not related. The statement is absurd because there is obvious fresh damage to the quarter panel. I contacted the claim rep on 8/4 (Tom) and he told me they will have to get back to us? I also told Tom that we do not have an agreed price on the labor rate. He told me "that's what we pay for your area and the owner would be responsible for the difference". I called again on 8/8 and the claim rep. Ernie Didonato repeated the same line. So at this point I still do not have an estimate of record or an agreed price. State Farm has been true to their word and is intentionally dragging this claim out. I feel as though there are punishing the owner and the shop because she did not fall prey to the steering attempt by State Farm.
