Complaint Comments:
Insured was hit hard in the right rear of his 2005 Dodge Dakota Impact was so intensetthat it pushed the right side of the bed into the left side. On the shops repair plan we indicated that there was damage to the rails! The first appraiser felt that there was not and would not compensate the insured for repairs. Shop proceeded with repairs and called for a supplement. Mr D Annible who came out on the supplemental agreed that damage did exist and would pay for repairs During repair process shop realized that the bed of the truck had to come back off to complete repairs properly. State Farm denied 2nd supplement without coming to the shop and inspecting vehicle Would not contact the shop to explain their position ! But called the insured, to tell the Insured / Consumer that they would not pay anymore monies I was under the impression State Farm was in the business of selling insurance. Not repairing vehicles, or telling repair professionals how to? A clear violation of the Appraisers Act. A biased attempt to underpay the claim, failure to pay all necessary operations to repair vehicle to pre loss condition
