Complaint Comments:
Grange supervisor Richard Lukotch was contacted via email for the following reasons: Paint Capped at $425.00 Refusal to pay a required operation – Prime, Feather and Block. Refusal to pay for cleaning exterior of vehicle. Manually overridden deductions of 2.0 hours of refinish labor. Refusal to pay tint time in the refinish operation. Short paid the required time to sand and polish ¾ of the freshly refinished vehicle. Mr. Lukotch responded in writing that his company was following industry standards and our request was in error. I am asking your department to review the business practices of Grange Insurance Company. This is a blatant theft of a service provided. I had attached a copy from their own estimating system stating Prime, Feather and Block is a required Refinish operation. There was over 10.0 hours of body repairs and we were shorted the allotted time needed to properly repair this vehicle. They also capped the paint materials at a mere $425 to paint ¾ of the vehicle. Refusal to pay us to clean the exterior is another example of a theft of service. Mr. Lukotch’s response was very unprofessional and failed to call after we requested it in writing. We have numerous examples of getting compensated for the required operations from insurance companies. So Mr. Lukotch’s statement is fictitious. I have attached a copy of procedure in writing from Granges estimating system. This will provide an unbiased example of Granges criminal intent to steal a service required and provided. Capping paint materials is another systematic example of theft as the cost to repair exceeded the reimbursement paid out. Please investigate their unfair business practice as it pertains our commonwealth law. Feel free to contact me with any questions and thank you in advance for protecting our consumer’s rights.
