Complaint Comments:
After completing repairs to the loss vehicle, the post-repair scan report said a recalibration of the rear blind spot monitors was necessary. We had that operation performed by BMW of West Chester. On 8-30-24 I submitted, online, a final supplement to State Farm with invoices and the final scan report (which stated that the recalibration was necessary) attached. After not receiving the supplement or any communication for about 10 days, we called State Farm and were told that the supplement was denied, as we did not replace or remove the blind spot monitors. I carefully explained that the final scan determined that the recalibration was necessary, and Leah, who I spoke with, said she would send my information back to the appraiser who made the decision. She called me back on 9-11-24 and stated that Thomas Nye, the appraiser who made the initial determination, again refused to honor the supplement. I would also ask that a staff lawyer review this complaint and call me to discuss the aspects and the merits of the complaint.
