Complaint Comments:
Insured Nationwide Claim Kathie came out to appraise the damages on Mr. Narkin's vehicle. After going over the actual cost to put this vehicle back to pre-loss condition, Kathie came to an agreement to disagree. She stated to me that what she wrote was fair and accurate. I told her that she was wrong and only saw it one sided by dictating me on what to charge and not to charge for. I explained to her that I am an independent shop and I feel that I am being treated unfairly because so. I feel what I charge is competitive in my surounding area and I feel that I am charging what is fair and reasonable procedures to put vehicles back to pre-loss condition. I also feel that Kathie is trying to make an example of independent shops because she just started with Nationwide a few months ago.(Nationwide just lost many appraisers/managers)I have fixed many cars that were Nationwide Claims and I feel that she wasnt even close on the necessary charges that I have been paid for in the past. If she wants to use company guidelines in her appraisals I feel that they are not independent appraisals. We need someone to look into what is going on with Nationwide's Claims Handling Procedures. Thank you, Brad Runge
