Vehicle came into our shop for repairs. It was orignally appraised at another facility. I got the vehicle in on the 16th of July. I called on that day to request a supplement. I talked to the claims handler Lauren Brooke. She said she would send someone out. I said OK. I called back the next day to see who got assigned to this claim and she told me it had to go to the Springfield office. I said Ok. So the next day I call the Springfield office to see who was handling the claim. They told me Bob Sypher had it and would be contacting us so I said good. He called later that day and said he would be out on the 19th and go over the vehicle. When Bob got here he stated to me that he was not going to pay for anything but damage that was overlooked or unforseen. He stated to me that the other shop agreed to fix this vehicle for what Progressive wrote and would not pay for proper repair procedures that are required to put this vehicle back to pre-loss condition. He stated to me that it would be different if the claim was looked at my shop first. He said that his supervisor is watching this claim and he could not pay for items that should have been negotiated at the fisrt shop. I told him that the shop that the vehicle was looked at is not doing the work we are and we need to put the vehicle back to pre-loss condition. He wants to pay for substandard repairs that no shop would do. After explaining to him and showing him what has to be done numerous times on numerous claims he still refuses to pay. I explained to him that he paid to do most of the operations I need to do on the last claim that he was out on. So i asked him why not now. I feel that Lister Automotive and I are being signaled out with Bob and he is just not going to pay for what needs to be done. I feel that Progressive Ins. Co. only sends him out on claims to us. We get him every time so far this year. I feel that shops cant request an appraiser but cant we have another opinon from a Progressive Rep. After Bob left I called Monday for another supplement. Progressive told me that Bob put a note in the file to not pay us anymore and to deal with him only. Please Investigate this claim. Thank you Brad Runge
