Mr. Bob Sypher came out to our facility to appraise the damages for Mrs. Whittington's 99 Toyota Camry Le. She was hit by one of Progressive customers, and they accepted liability. He wrote all necessary repairs except to blend the roof and the l/s 1/4 panel. He wants me to leave an open blend in the r/s 1/4 panel and i tried to explain to him that was not recommended from Toyota as a proper repair procedure. I showed him the information and also faxed him a copy of it for his records. I also explained to him that my paint manufacture will void the life time warranty for my customer. Every knows that this is not an industry standard and nobody will guarantee the work. I explained to Bob that he is paying for sub-standard repair procedures and asking me to devalue Mrs. Whittington's vehicle. He refuses to come back out to go over the repair procedures in question. If he wants me to do sub-standard work he needs to document it in the appraisal and explain to my customer what he will and will not pay for. He also refused to do this. I explained to him that I need him to have the explaination of the open blend procedure on the appaisal and also give my customer a guarantee. He also did not pay to refinish the bodyside mldgs that are getting replaced. He stated to me that they should come in color. I explained to him that he needs to come back out and see that they did not come in color. I also explained if they even did come in color i would still have to refinish them for color match when painting the whole side of the vehicle. When I called his supervisor Eliz Halota she did not even want to discuss anything at all and stated to me that she would not send out Bob to do any supplements at all. She called me a liar on numerous times and belittled me and threaten me stating she would hang up on me and if she did decide to send Bob out for a supplement she stated that she would tell him that if I tried to discuss anything they already refused he could just leave paying nothing. I feel that Eliz talks to people very unprofessional and tries to intimate people without letting you even get a word in. (She does all the talking you either listen or she hangs up.)
