Complaint Comments:
To Whom It May Concern: I recently filed a claim with Hanover Insurance Co as claimant. I drive a 2010 Toyota Carolla with just 12,399 miles. I received an estimate from them containing aftermarket parts. When I questioned the claims adjuster, Shannon, 508-855-5475, she told me that they were regulated by State Law to write such parts. This didn't sound correct so I spoke to my body shop who also called Shannon at Hanover and was told the same line, that it is State Law to write aftermarket parts. The shop asked if Shannon was confusing State Law with company policy. The reply was no, they are "regulated by the State" to write those parts. The body shop has no knowledge that such a law exists. Even if this is their policy, I am a CLAIMANT and don't have a signed contract with them. I am the victim in this claim and must be made whole. Can you please help me settle this matter? Thank you, Carole Deutsch
