Complaint Comments:
Department of Insurance > On December 18, 2003 K.Kapusta inspected damages on said vehicle. In agreement with the repair shop that the frame damages were beyond repair K.Kaputa searched the salavage yards and located a used LKQ frame assembly. Nationwide has prepared their damage apprasial utilizing a LKQ frame assembly. It is our opinion at Crawford's Auto Center the vehicle can be repaired with a replacement frame however, the frame needs to be of like kind & quality. As the manufacturer's frame is stamped with the proper ID number over the right front suspension area a replacement frame will not have a proper ID number. The LKQ frame will have a inaccurate ID number thus creating a non-LKQ repair. In addition, to the frame dilemma Nationwide has prepared their appraisal utilizing LKQ suspension parts. This is not following the state's guidelines when repairing a damaged vehicle. Disclosure to the owner's leasing company of the accident damages and the parts utilized during the repair process will place the vehicle owner in a diminished vehicle dilemma.
