Complaint Comments:
Department of Insurance,This complaint is directed to Progressive Insurance. Also,Claim Handler, Ashley Dascenzo of Progressive Insurance. Mr. Grigos, declined to have his 08'Infiniti G35 repaired from one of Progressive's so-called "Concierge" Repair Facilities after being in a severe collision. His vehicle was released from there and towed to our facility on tuesday morning, after being involved in the Collision an in a state of duress he called our facility an needed our assistance. He did what was according to his policy an notified Progressive that he was involved in accident and the car was at our facility. We did not recieved any call from Progressive and their"Immediate Claim Response" for over 24hrs to schedule their Appraiser to view the vehicle. We took action and called them to make a appointment. We recieved a call finally, from Ashley Dascenzo. She proceeded to tell me without even scheduling the Appraiser to view the vehicle that they were not going to pay for Mr. Grigos rental portion of the claim until we start on the vehicle. I told her that the vehicle was disabled and a Appraiser needs to view the vehicle before we can start repairs. Also i asked her if i was not mistaken he purchased 30 day rental on his policy per claim. She agreed, she then stated it doesnt matter she is not going to pay for his rental until we started repairs. She is completely ignoring the purchased policy agreement by Mr.Grigos and notified him an our facility by using intimitating wording, scripted by most likely her superiors to evaid paying the due rental portion of the claim without even assigning a Appraiser to view the vehicle. In my opinion this is gangster-like,bully tactics and it needs to be stopped and allowing their staff to continue with intentions to disrupt commerce to any Independent Collision Repair facility against the Consumers for the simple philosphy in the future if the consumer is in need of a putting in a claim, the Consumer will conform to whatever the Insurance carriers tell them to do.Such as taking their vehicle to one their a.k.a "Concierge" facilities for future claims,to avoid the threat of financial punishment. To me this is a form of steering. Please address this...Thank You, Dan Di Loretto
