Complaint Comments:
Pa. Department Of Insurance: On Monday January 31, 2005 Donna Oaks from Progressive Insurance Company requested to stop by our facility and inspect Mr. Dimatteo's 2004 Suzuki. She arrived at our facility at 3:00PM. At approxmately 3:15PM she brought the keys to said vehicle to our front office desk and prepared to leave. I request a copy of her appraisal and she advised she had not completed the appraisal and when she did complete the appraisal she advised she would fax over her appraisal. I asked her for a copy of her appraisal and she refused to provide a copy to review as she had not completed the appraisal. I asked if she had taken photos of said vehcile and she advised, yes she had. I advised she must leave a copy of her appraisal with the consumer's representative and she advised she would fax it over. I explained she is in violation of the Physical Damage Appraisers Act. Faxing over an appraisal without review is in violation of the act as she must review her appraisal with the repair facility at the time she prepares the document. She refused and advised me to go ahead and file a complaint. I apologize for not including a claim number or other documentaion to support this complaint.
