Complaint Comments:
State Farm Insurance Company's - Noncompliance with State Guidelines: Mr. Angelo Depero #150314 inspected damages to Mr. McCormick' jeep at our facility on 12-15-05. While discussing the repair process and necessary procedures he advised State Farm Insurance Company does not recognize a need to repair interior panels that are damaged adjacent to newly replaced panels nor will the company allow for labor compensation for repair procedures to said panels. I addressed this issue by showing Mr. Depero the ADP Labor Guide (P-Pages) which states - > "Replace labor does not include additional labor to repair adjacent panels damaged by welding." Mr. Depero stated that he has been through this discussion with shops before and the labor to repair adjacent panels is included with the replacement panel labor times. To support his position Mr. Depero stated that State Farm has discussed this procedure with ADP and ADP agreed with State Farm's position that the time is included with the "replacement labor operations". I disputed this comment and contacted the ADP Technical Support Department while Mr. Depero was at our location and asked them to interpret their labor guide. ADP's Mr. Tony Lenoir (1-800-546-5237) from their Labor Review Department agreed with my interpretation of the Procedure Pages and while on 3-way phone conversation advised Mr. Depero that that adjacent panels inward of the replaced panels are not included with ADP's replacement panel labor times. Although, Mr. Depero excepted the ADP representative's interpretation and advised our facility he would adjust his appraisal times left our facility with out leaving a copy of his damage appraisal. Mr. Depero handed us a "Preliminary Inspection Report" and advised he would discuss this situation during a meeting with State Farm the next day.' Mr. Depero is in violation of the MVPDA as he refused to make an independent appraisal of damages. Mr. Depero also refused to leave a copy of his damage appraisal. Please look into complaint and investigate of concerns. Thank You, Stephen Behrndt #266003 Crawford's Auto Center, Inc.
