Complaint Comments:
Beth Walcome was here to inspect the loss vehicle for a supplement. While here, she asked for invoices for the utility body. The utility body was searched for and located by Nationwide, and was not a part of the supplement request. While here, Ms. Walcome contacted Jim Russell, who indicated that without a utility body invoice, a negative supplement would be generated. We advised Ms. Walcome that 1) The body was not involved in the supplement request, 2) That Nationwide owed the value of the body to their insured, 3) The insured was not obligated to put a body back on, and 4) She was supposed to write a supplement based on her own observations and without interference from someone else. Ms. Walcome went to her car at some point, and never returned. She did not finish the supplement or leave a copy of it at the time of inspection. Finally, we contacted Nationwide for a supplement request on 12/27/05, but they did not come to the shop until 1/10/06.
