Complaint Comments:
Stewart Pague inspected the loss vehicle for a second supplement request on 7-7-06. The supplement request was, among other things, to replace two left side door lower claddings, and to aim the headlamps as the left front headlamp was being removed and installed for repair access. On the previous supplement request, Mr. Pague refused to aim the headlamps, and again refused, despite the fact that this is a matter of safety to the vehicle owner and others on the road, and the fact he that saw the headlamp was removed. In addition, despite not having been at the accident scene, Mr. Pague was able to determine that the damage to the cladding was not the result of the accident, although the entire left side of the vehicle was severely damaged. In addition, Mr. Pague repeatedly said that he "write[s] [his] appraisals for the market area", and would not pay for procedures that were necessary and visibly being performed. Finally, he refused to pay to replace the left rear door belt molding which was damaged while being taken off for repair access. Thus, Mr. Pague did not pay to perform operations needed to restore the loss vehicle to its pre-damaged condition, did not perform an independent appraisal, and did not address safety issues when performing his duties as a licensed appraiser.
