Complaint Comments:
National Appraisal Service, representative/appraiser Ralph Saletto failed to contact G&L Automotive, concerning appraisal or supplement for above stated claim. American National Property and Casualty insurance company(ANPAC) has refused to pay any additional monies for above stated claim. On or about 4/30/07 Ralph Saletto of N.A.S. did inspect for damage Rodney Flannary's vehicle at Dr. Flannary's work place. Mr. Saletto was informed at that time of the vehicle having a 3 stage paint. Mr. Saletto failed to write for the procedure of a test/let down panel, which is necessary for color match when not blending adjacent panels. Mr. Saletto also underpaid the paint/material line by almost 250%, it is unknown if this was by habit or mistake as Mr. Saletto has never contacted G&L Automotive to discuss this matter. ANPAC, was contacted by both the vehicle owner and shop as to the underpayment and inaccurate description of repairs. On 5/10/07 ANPAC had G&L representative, Gary McGarvey fax a decription of repair to thier companies office. On 5/14/07 ANPAC representative, Sharon Sheremp expressed the company's desire to deny any additional payment for the claim, even when informed that reciepts for the paint/material list would be supplied. I ask the Department of Insurance to intervene in this matter, to contact everyone involved including the shop and vehicle owner. I believe this to be a blatent attempt by the Insurance company and appraisal firm to underpay the claim, and is definitely in violation of Act 367. Thanks in advance, Gary McGarvey.
