Complaint Comments:
RO # 1936 State Farm Claim # 38K 816 74901 2004 Hummer H2 Lux January 9, 2006 Original Estimate w/ T.J. Kehoe. Vehicle arrived and was not torn down for estimate. T. J. Kehoe evaluated vehicle and created a preliminary estimate, which Rick (Badell’s Collision Estimator) evaluated with T.J.. T.J. and Rick agreed on all R&I operations necessary, but could not come to an agreement on repair hours for the ¼ panel. Rick judged the repair to be 4 hours for the exterior panel and 2 hours for the lower ¼ panel behind the bumper cover.'T.J. judged the repair to be 2 hours on the upper ¼ panel and 2 hours on the lower ¼ panel behind the bumper cover. An agreement was never maid and T.J. locked the estimate. Other issues that Rick had with T.J.’s preliminary estimate were the M&B price for the 20inch wheel. T.J. had 12$ M&B on the estimate and Rick notified him that Badell’s Collision does not have the capability to mount such a large wheel and tire combination. Rick offered to contact a sublet vendor in reference to a price, but T.J. refused and locked the estimate at 15$. The sublet labor was later quoted at 40$. There was also an issue with the right rear bumper filler. T.J. could not find it in his estimating database, so Rick offered to call a local GM vendor to get the correct part # and price. T.J. insisted to put a charge of 15$ in the estimate and lock. Rick insisted and made T.J. wait until he could get the correct information (part price was 48.17$). The complaint for this day is about T.J.’s inability to negotiate a repair and his laziness to have the correct information be displayed in his estimates. After T.J. left, Rick created and notified State Farm of a supplement on this claim and vehicle tear down was completed. January 12, 2006 T.J. arrived to handle and complete supplement. T.J. agreed to all of the supplement issues that Rick had except for the repair time on the ¼ panel. Rick was insistent on the repair hours that he requested on January 9th for the right ¼ panel and T.J. agreed to change the lower ¼ panel repair hours to 2.5hours and he left the upper repair to 2 hours. His reason for this was that part of the repair was new to him. The 4 hours that Rick is requesting repair time for on the upper ¼ panel is to repair 2 dents, both of which Rick showed T.J. on the 9th. T.J. is now stating that one of the dents was not there when he originally evaluated the vehicle. This is a blatant accusation that Badell’s Collision has tampered with the vehicle since the original estimate was written. T.J. does have photos from the repair in question taken on the 9th. The complaint from this day is that T.J. overwrote the repair in the lower ¼ panel and was unable to negotiate the repairs to the upper ¼ panel. In response to this T.J. has inadvertently accused Badell’s Collision of tampering with a vehicle. *3 Days wasted arguing over 1.5 hours of repair and an agreed price still has not been met.*
