Complaint Comments:
Our consumer's 2002 Nissan Altima was involved in an accident on Sept 9, 2011. His vehicle was towed to our facility. His insurance company The Hartford insist he move his property to their storage yard. Our consumer has asked them to inspect the vehicle at Crawford's. As of this complaint, The Hartford has not inspected the loss. On September 12, Hartford sent our consumer a letter stating they will not pay for storage past Sept. 16, 2011 however they have not inspected nor have they provided a written market evaluation report as per the Pa state law. The Hartford is demanding our consumer move his vehicle without an inspection of settlement offer. The Hartford is in violation of Pa. state law and regulation.
