Complaint Comments:
Pa Insurance Department: State Farm Insurance Company assigned their staff appraiser JAMES GUTHRIE #141354 to inspect and settle the accident damages on our consumer's damaged vehicle. While inspecting the loss on 12-14-11 JAMES GUTHRIE #141354 refused to list our towing charges on his appraisal as per Pa. State Law and Regulation - We contacted State Farm for a supplemental for this claim and they again sent our JAMES GUTHRIE #141354 who prepared his supplemental report. Again, JAMES GUTHRIE #141354 failed to list our towing charges on his supplemental appraisal even though he was provided a listing of our charges. This is a violation of the Pa appraiser law and regulation. On March 25,2009 we sent in a similar complaint regarding this same State Farm appraiser JAMES GUTHRIE #141354 who while appraising consumer claims refused to list necessary charges known at the time of the appraisal. We are aware that JAMES GUTHRIE #141354 and State Farm were warned about this violation of the law and advised by the Insurance Department that towing charges had to be listed as part of the appraisal process and reimbursement for said charges part of the settlement. It appears that MR. JAMES GUTHRIE #141354 and State Farm Insurance Company are again in violation of the Pa State Laws and enforcement is necessary for compliance of the Act. Thank you, Stephen Behrndt, Pres. Crawford's Auto Center, Inc. ''
