Complaint Comments:
The claimant had his vehicle towed to our facility on 4/28/2012 as a non-drivable vehicle. We contacted the insurance adjuster twice for a damage appraisal and on 5/10/2012 I was told to write and submit our own estimate of damage to them for review. On 5/12/2012 I received a faxed estimate written by Kristal Brounce lic# IA880535. The estimate omitted the TOW BILL which I submitted and the right front window glass. The labor rate had been changed and there was a wide variance on payment. Her estimate was written based off of pictures I submitted on 5/08/2012. This is a clear violation of the PA Appraisers Act. Ms. Brounce never personally inspected the vehicle at our facility. I am asking for a review of this claim and the unfair settlement practice RepWest Insurance Company is engaging upon. Nonpayment of the tow bill, more than 6 business days to inspect the damage, writing an estimate without personally inspecting the damage and utilizing photos to assess the extent of damage.
