DEPARTMENT OF INSURANCE: On September 19, 2012 Nationwide Staff appraiser Monica Eagles visited our facility to inspect and settle our mutual customer's loss. Eagles signed in at 11:55. Not knowing this Nationwide appraiser we requested to see her Pa. State Appraiser license. She advised she did not have one. We requested a business card. She advised she did not have one. She advised she does not carry her appraiser's license and if we will not allow her to inspect the vehicle she will call the customer and advise her to move the vehicle. She refused to sign out of our facility and walked out our front. § 861. Compliance with act§ 861. Compliance with act (a) Each appraiser, while engaged in appraisal duties, shall carry the license issued to him by the Insurance Department and shall display it, upon request, to an owner whose vehicle is being inspected, to the repair shop representative involved or to any authorized representative of the Insurance Department. Nationwide Insurance Company is attempting to steer our customer away from our repair facility by trying to provoke an argument and antagonizing our facility.
