Complaint Comments:
Bill Melcher refused to replace the steering rack required as per Mercedes Benz Bulletin AH46.20-P-9409-01A The steering Tie Rod has been severed from the Steering Rack. Mercedes Benz has issued a safety bulletin mandating the replacement of the Rack. Mr. Melcher states they will not acknowledge the bulletin since there is no visible damage. The Bulletin states there may be a crack from the impact which is not visible or able to be tested therefore MUST be replaced. I am asking once again that you investigate State Farm for disregarding safety issues. I will be happy to forward the Bulletin.
