Complaint Comments:
Dave Simms initial appraised this damaged vehicle on 5/6/15, knowing that a final supplement was pending. When we called in for the final supplement to Travelers, Dave Simms called us back right afterward and informed us that he will be going on vacation for the next two weeks and someone else will be assigned to this claim. Travelers send out Mike Caruso to complete the supplement. When Mike Caruso came out on Friday 5/29 @ 1:35 we supplied him with our written supplement, invoices and our shop paint material cost statement that was generated by MITCHELL REFINISHING CALCULATOR and was printed out for a three stage color version. He took our information went inside his vehicle made a phone calls and within five minutes he come out to inform us that he is not paying for anything on the supplement and returned our paper work back to us, we asked for him to have his manager call us us back so we could discuss this matter professionally & amicably, he stated that he will relate the message to his manager and left our facility. No one from Traveler ever contacted us at anytime about this open supplement. We call back to dispatch and requested for another supplement that same afternoon at 4:13 pm and on Monday on June 1st we spoke Mike Caruso in person only to be told that he was aware that we did call in for a supplement late Friday afternoon and stated that he will just deny any supplement we call in concerning this claim. On 6/11 again we called into Travelers supplemental dispatch for a second time concerning this open supplement and again no one responded, and a third time on 6/30, since than we have been waiting for someone to either respond or come out and finalize this open supplement on this claim which is over $1500.00 plus. In that time frame other Travelers' appraisers did came out to our shop and addressed on their prospective assignment, all the necessary line items & procedures including the actual cost from the paint material statements that Mitchell Refinish Calculator generated from that particular vehicle's paint code. I would like for the DOI to look into this matter and stop this unprofessional conduct and behavior of this individual PA State Licensed Appraiser!
