Complaint Comments:
Mr. Nocero was hit by a State Farm insured driver and has been told he must go to a state farm drive in or select service shop to have his vehicle inspected and damages appraised. State farm representatives told Mr. Nocero and myself that they do not have field appraisers and do not inspect drivable vehicles outside of these locations, I believe this refusal to inspect vehicles at a non state farm shop be a method of steering work to their direct repair shops. Anica told me it is state farm policy that they never inspect drive able vehicles at the owners home or the repair shop of their choice, however on 4/15/2016 Traci Munsell came to our location and inspected a driveable vehicle at our location claim number 38-8J84-76702. Not only do i feel this is a form of steering i feel it is in direct violation of 861 compliance of the act (2) Approach the appraisal of damaged property without prejudice against, or favoritism toward, any party involved in order to make fair and impartial appraisals. (3) Disregard any efforts on the part of others to influence his judgment in the interest of the parties involved. (4) Prepare an independent appraisal of damage.
