Complaint Comments:
Insured was sent a storage cut-off letter before the vehicle was inspected by her own insurance company. In fact the insurance company representative Michelle Shindle tried to get the insured to allow her car to be taken to a captive shop that is on their preferred list. She declined and was told an appraiser would be out to look at the vehicle and assess the damage. The vehicle was deemed a total loss and a request for a "total loss evaluation"was ordered up. A settlement on the value of the vehicle was reached and the owner/insured released the vehicle. The insured received payment in the mail for the vehicle's value but was shorted $715.00 dollars off her settlement do to the additional storage costs after the date of the storage cut-off letter. The insured is owed the money and should be compensated back by her insurance company for the short pay. Michelle Shindle's supervisor Nira Karlon has also denied our request to reimburse their insured for the short pay. D.O.I., Please investigate this unfair treatment.
