Complaint Comments:
Progressive denied the damage to the right rear door and quarter panel. We did the repair to the rear bumper and put it together. The owner complained several times and they still denied the damage. Once the vehicle was completely assembled Progressive (after several calls from the owner) decided the damage was related and they would send someone out to the shop. Ms. Moerkirk arrived at our shop on 4/19/17 to correct the estimate. Ms. Moerkirk clearly lacks the experience to properly inspect subjective damage. The hours to repair are incorrect and she did not allow time to do the job twice (remove all the components again) since it was together after Progressive had denied the repair. She also missed the damage to the lock pillar. We were also shorted by overlap in the paint process. Ms. Moerkirk got abrasive when confronted with her deficiencies. We asked for her supervisor, Brian Quinn,and he flat out refused to even listen to our concern. Progressive is being unfair and arbitrarily stealing from our repair shop. They made the mistake and it is not fair that Alan's has to charge the owner or eat the difference. Brian refused to give us his supervisors name and now I am only left with the Insurance Commissioners help.
