DOI, Our customer was struck by an Allstate insured on 4/21/17. Allstate accepted liability and offered to pay for cost of repairing his vehicle. Our customer was told to go to an Allstate drive-in location where he met Allstate's appraiser Mr. Lin Price. While inspecting our customer's vehicle appraiser Price asked our customer if he had a repair facility in mind for the repairs. Our customer replied that he would be using Crawford's Auto Center, Inc. Appraiser Price proceeded to explain that Crawford's is the most expensive shop in Chester County and he should reconsider. Our customer stopped appraiser Price and explained that Crawford's had repaired his vehicle before and he was happy with Crawford's service. He would be going to Crawford's for the repairs. Appraiser Price is clearly trying to coerce and intimidate our customer into not using Crawford's. If our customer had not had a good experience at Crawford's appraiser price may have been successful in steering our customer away. FYI - Appraiser Price is assigned to the local Allstate drive-in and one can assume he uses this same steering tactic whenever he inspects a customer going to Crawford's for the repairs. Steering and attempting to steer through the use of intimidation tactics and coercion is a violation of the The Pa Consumer Trade Practices Act and Pa Appraisers act and Regulation and various other Pa consumer protection laws Please investigate our allegations and enforce the appropriate penalty against Allstate and their employee Mr. Lin Price #149951
