Complaint Comments:
Mr. Mcguigan refused to compensate the vehicle owner for a required scan/calibration. When I asked why he stated the light was not lite on the dash so they do not owe.When I tired to explain the reason for the position statement he got very nasty and raised his voice in my office in front of other insurance adjusters. I asked him to leave our facility. State Farm has become very defensive any time a SCAN/CALIBRATION is requested on the owners behalf. There is a legal obligation State farm has to insure the safety components are functioning correctly. We have no problem with any other carrier with regards to scan/calibrations. This is one of two claims he denied today.
