Since Allstate has gone to allowing photos to write damage estimates, the policy holders and claimants as well as the repair shops are being denied normal professional claim service as far as accuracy of damages, fair monetary settlements, constant delays in getting supplements approved for obvious omitted damages, delays in payment, additional down time after starting and stopping repairs for the shops, additional un-needed rental costs for shops, customers and the insurer, delays in completing supplement requests, omitted labor procedures on photo estimates, the time shops spend on additional administration, phone calls, e-mails, faxes that go unanswered, lost and never replied to etc.etc.etc. Hours are spent and lost by shops that are not being compensated for their time directly as a result of Allstate`s change to photo generated damage estimates. Our ( shop owners and estimators ) time is obviously worth nothing to this company as it takes additional hours and sometimes days to get a vehicle through the repair process directly due to the policies of Allstate Insurance Company. The policy holder and the consumer is being abused financially along with the shops that lose large portions of their day to simply getting a car repaired in a reasonable time period.
