Complaint Comments:
I submitted an online supplement request to State Farm for front bumper cameras and cables, a rear trunk trim panel, latch and 2 screws, and a final scan in addition to other items that were paid for and not a part of this complaint. I received a call from the appraiser who refused to pay for the above-referenced parts and labor to replace the parts, and did not pay for the final scan, despite having clear photos of the damaged parts and invoices for the parts and final scan. Appraiser alleges that damaged cameras were not accident-related, without any proof other than an "investigation" he conducted that found the cameras in question are very susceptible to moisture and corrosion damage. Appraiser was provided with pre and post scans that identified communication problems with the cameras. In addition, the customer, Mr. Conley, stated the cameras operated properly before the impact to his vehicle, which was on the front bumper and necessitated the replacement of the front bumper cover and required sheet metal alignment.
