Complaint Comments:
Ins. apprasier capped paint material @$350.00. Paint refinish of 30.1 hrs. @$20.00 per hr. on this appraisal should come to $602.00. In a conversation I had with Scott Beggs(Supervisor with Travelers 800-842-9897-x3764)I brought up the capping of paint material & there company paying $19.00 per hr. for paint material. He told me to have the appraiser change it to $20.00 per hr. Scott Beggs also told me they can make a concession to override the caps. Scott Beggs told me to have the appraiser pay the correct amount of 30.1 hrs @$20.00 per hr. and to have the appraiser call him on his cell phone the next day, Friday 12/31/04. The following day the appraiser came to our shop to finish his supplement. He told me he called Scott Beggs and they decided not to pay the uncapped amount,only the capped amount of $350.00. Mike Baclasky told me that Scott Beggs would have to talk to someone higher up. That's not what Mr. Beggs told me. I informed the insured that they will have to pay the difference of $252.00 + $15.12 tax. Not a happy customer.
