Complaint Comments:
On 7-7-06, Stewart Pague from State Farm refused to properly address legitimate items on a supplement inspection for the above-referenced loss. I therefore requested another inspection by a different appraiser as provided for by the Appraisers Act which, in section 62.3, (g), states "No provision of the act or this chapter shall be construed as intended to in any way prohibit or limit the subsequent appraisal or reappraisal of damage by different licensed appraisers, if such is desired by any of the involved parties." When State Farm failed to acknowledge my request, I faxed another request on 7-10-06. This request resulted in a phone call from Lisa Barksdale from State Farm who said that no other(different)appraiser will be sent to inspect the damage. When I reminded her of the wording of the Appraisers Act, she simply said that she refused to send a different appraiser, and would answer any complaint I make to the Insurance Department. I asked her to fax her position to me in writing which she agreed to do, but I have not received a written reply at the time of this complaint.
