Complaint Comments:
Mr.Ronald Minnich from BERKS AUTO APPRAISAL COMPANY was assigned to appraise our consumer's damaged vehicle at Crawford's repair facility. He stopped out on 1-28-02 to appraise vehicle. When asked if his intentions were to leave a copy of his appraisal he refused. When asked how he intended to appraise the damages he told us he would write the appraisal back at his office and fax us a copy. We explained our need to have an appraisal written on location however, he departed without appraising the damages to our consumer's vehcile. Minnich then contacted Mr. Karustis and advised our consumer we would not permit him to appraise their vehicle. Our consumer was also contacted by Mr. Steve Rubado from KEMPER INSURANCE COMPANY (1-800-357-8999 X-8803)who advised our consumer to have their vehicle moved to another repair facility. Be advised Crawford's Auto Center has a signed repair authorization by our consumer (copy enclosed)giving us permission to begin repairs. As per our consumers request and advisement from their insurance carrier the Karustis's vehicle was moved to another repair facility for repairs.
