To explain what transpired pertaining to this claim. My vehicle was hit in GA Collision parking lot on 11/1/04. Steve Mcfarland admitted fault and called his insurance company. I never made any contact with Progressive. Progressive called me the same day and Tim Carmody (610-719-2932) verbally told me that they accept liability and would transfer the claim to the Springfield office. Then Jim Groeling called me the same day because he noticed my name and said he would have Bob Sphyer out Tue or Wed. Thursday (11/4/04) is here and Bob came out and wrote an estimate. After he was all done he stated to me that it is not a paid claim yet. I did not understand so I called Jim and he stated to me that they needed to investigate the accident. Then my vehicle came up with a prior loss and they needed to make sure it was repaired. Then they needed to inspect their insured vehicle to measure the height of the tailgate. Though the investigation I was never told to do anything. My vehicle was not drivable. They came to a decision to pay this claim on Nov 11th, 2004 They came back out and finalized the appraisal after the vehicle was tore down. That was on the 15th. He did not give me a copy of the total loss evaluation. The inside rep Jim called me and stated that he was not paying GA Collision charges and would only pay $746 depending when the vehicle was pickup. His break down was $75 per day, office of $50, lot fee of $45 and 3hrs of tear down labor at $42 per. He stated that the sales tax on the figure of $746 was in that figure. GA Collision bill was $1897.40, as you will see it is self-explanatory. Progressive owes me $1151.00. I told them that I needed full payment; they answered me by stating that I am holding up the claim and would be charged if I did not bring in the title. I cannot afford to have anymore out of pocket expense. So I went over with the title and had to sign a release so I could not go after this money from them. I talked you James John and you stated to me that you would be able to get this money for me. So here is my formal complaint please help me. Also Progressive paid my full rental bill from day one. So I don’t understand why they would not pay charges from day one. Thank you, Brad Runge
