Complaint Comments:
I submitted a signed appraisal with other claim documents for the above referenced claim. Allied responded and said they wanted to inspect the vehicle, so we held the unit for their inspection. Allied contracted Crawford & Co to inspect the vehicle at our facility. Crawford's PA licensed appraiser left a signed appraisal at our facility in the amount of $9,647.65. Some time afterward, we received a check from Allied in the amount of $9,167.94 less their insureds' deductible, along with an audited estimate based on the Crawford appraisal. The estimate was done by Mr. Wilhelm at his desk, without a personal inspection. I called Allied and spoke with Mr. Wilhelm to say that what he did was aginst PA law. I faxed documentation to him in support of my allegation. Thank you, Robert J. Cicconi.
