Complaint Comments:
RO # 567 State Farm Claim # 38-K432825 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix May 12, 2004 An estimate was written by T.J. Kehoe that made this vehicle a total loss. Customer wished that the vehicle not be totaled. Rick had reviewed vehicle prior to T.J.’s arrival and new that it was close to a total loss and that the customer would like to keep the vehicle. Suggested meeting an agreed price to repair vehicle to pre-loss condition. T.J. refused to work with Rick and wrote the vehicle well beyond the total loss threshold. There were several questionable points of T.J.’s estimate that could have helped to save vehicle. The condenser did not require replacement; only repair time (charge was still being held). T.J. also wrote for a used front clip for the vehicle that it did not need. The left fender was repairable. T.J. also wrote the prior damage very heavily, which was not necessary. State Farm estimate total was 4067.46$-500$ deductible, leaving State Farm to be responsible for 3567.46$. The customer accepted the total loss and had our facility repair vehicle for a reconstructed title. The total cost of repair came to 3500$. To this point, we do not know if the customer has received his reconstructed title.
