Insured Progressive Claim Insured went to the Baltimore Pike Office to settle a total loss and when she was there they decided to write an appraisal for her on this claim. She told Progressive to handle it with the shop of her choice but they stated to her that with an appraisal it will speed up the claim and the shop could start repairs right away. So the appraisal was wrote on 2/25 and I did not get it from Progressive until 3/4. The claims handler refused (blew me off) to fax it to me after requesting it numerous times. The customer did not get it there, she had to wait for it in the mail so I asked if I could get a faxed copy so I could start repairs. I feel that Progressive Insurance Company is trying to make it hard for independent shops to fix vehicles by not helping their customer in any way just because they chose a independent shop. I also feel that this appraisal is missing many operations required to put this vehicle back to pre-loss condition. It is a very inaccurate description of repairs required. I feel that this needs to be address for the consumers rights to chose the shop of there choice. Thank you Brad Runge
